All are welcome on Saturday, April 15th for the 2023 TeenTechSF STEM Inclusivity Forum, an opportunity for teens to hear from diverse role models from Technovation, Girls Who Code, MissionBit, Bitwise Oakland, Pilot City, and Lowell HS’s CardinalBotics team to connect with opportunities in the STEM field, and to join hands-on STEM workshops on Web Development, Arduinos, and Computer Dismantlery. This year’s event will take place at Uptown Square Community Space, adjacent to 19th St Oakland BART - we’re excited to host this event in person for the first time in several years!
With this year’s theme of Tech for All, we’re hearing from engineers breaking barriers in the tech industry such as Kennan Scott, Vice President of Bitwise Industries - where he trains and connects thousands of Bay Area residents with tech careers - and Justin Friend, Adobe Head of Onboarding who led the Salesforce Racial Equality Task Force.
We’ll also be exploring various STEM opportunities offered by organizations providing internships, summer programs, and other tech resources for youth during a panel and networking breakout sessions, with representatives from Technovation, Girls Who Code, MissionBit, Pilot City, and CardinalBotics.
This is a gateway tech experience for many and we are proud to welcome students who are new to tech and coding! As part of the event, you'll also be able to participate in interactive, beginner-friendly STEM workshops including:
Introduction to Web Development
Introduction to Circuitry: Arduino Basics
Computer Dismantlery: The UnMaker Movement
[EXCLUSIVE] App Inventor with Technovation
REGISTER TODAY for the 2023 STEM Inclusivity Forum: 2023-ttsf-sif.eventbrite.com! Event is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required.
