The San Francisco Historical Society (www.sfhistory.org) wants to hear from LWHS! We are excited to announce our Sixth Annual Fracchia Prize for original research and writing about San Francisco history. You can help by spreading the word and encouraging all of your high school students to apply by the April 13th deadline.
This year’s writing prompt is: How does the history of my neighborhood affect my life today?
Students who submit the top three winning entries receive cash prizes ($2,500; $1,500; $1,000) and their work is published in one of SFHS’s two history journals- Panorama or The Argonaut.

Please let me know if you have any questions or comments!
Warm regards,
Beth
