We are offering free tutoring for students of all grades, specifically targeting families who have been negatively impacted by Covid-19. We pair qualified volunteers (high school/college students) with students to help them with their homework and other subject-related questions. We were even featured on KRON4 News this past summer! (https://www.kron4.com/features/kron4-heroes/student-led-nonprofit-offers-free-tutoring-to-bay-area-students-amid-pandemic/). This program has been continuing since May, with over 100 volunteers and 120+ students.
Secondly, we have recently launched the Ambassadors Program. It gives volunteers an opportunity to hold a leadership position in their local community, by coordinating their own projects/events and carrying out other volunteer activities that allow them to build their leadership skills while making a positive impact.
Applicants for both programs undergo interviews and screening processes. We were hoping that you could share this opportunity to students and the community (both are virtual volunteering opportunities). If this is not a possibility, any advice or other means to spread the word would be greatly appreciated.
You can read more about our tutoring and ambassadors program on our website (linked below). Please let us know if you have any questions or need a flyer/more information from us. Thank you so much!
Best,
