DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: MAY 16, 2022 - High School Poll Worker Program Application
Thank you for your interest in serving as a High School Poll Worker in the San Francisco School Board Election. The Department of Election is currently recruiting high school poll workers to serve in the June 7, 2022 election. Prior to their service, poll workers receive training and materials to make sure they are prepared to help voters on Election Day. Poll workers arrive at their assigned polling place by 6 a.m. on Election Morning and end their day at 9 p.m. Upon completion of their Election Day assignment, high school poll workers receive a stipend of $180-$200 as well as 15 community service hours. Prior to filling out this application, use the checklist below to confirm you meet all the requirements to be eligible to serve as a poll worker in San Francisco. All statements must be true:
Be a United States citizen or legal permanent resident
Be at least 16 years old on or before Election Day
Have at least a 2.5 GPA at a public or private high school
Have permission from their parents/guardians and teachers (Before Election Day, we will be sending your parents/guardians and your school administrator an email confirmation that you will be serving as a poll worker.)
Able to 1) comply with San Francisco's COVID-19 vaccination requirement policy; 2) complete the required training; and 3) serve on Election Day from 6 a.m. until all tasks are completed, no later than 9 p.m.
