Hip Hop for Change’s 6th Annual Environmental Summit is a free, all-ages, family-friendly, all-day, outdoor festival featuring a panel discussion, kids craft zone, vendors, full bar, food trucks, and ways to get involved in adding color to the Green Movement.
The program schedule is:
1 to 3 pm – Story Salon Environmental Justice power-building collective People Over Plastics will host this year's story salon on the main stage featuring a thoughtful discussion on climate action and community engagement, with a keynote by Patrice Simms of Earth Justice.
3 to 7 pm – Music D Smoke, Sa-Roc + Sol Messiah, Sol Development, RyanNicole, Lady Ryan, and Shortkut. Hosted by Lateef the Truthspeaker.
The Environmental Justice Summit is a bold platform for representation and activism that elevates and amplifies the voices and power of people of color as leaders in the environmental justice movement.
Leading BIPOC environmental organizers from the Bay Area and beyond will share experiences and discuss steps to diversify the Green Movement and address the needs of our vulnerable communities. Presented in partnership with San Francisco BayKeeper and hosted at the Presidio.
