The Ernest 'EJ' Jones for Supervisor 2024 campaign is looking for high school, university

and graduate students to work with us to get Ernest 'EJ' Jones elected as District 11

Supervisor on November 5, 2024! Ernest "EJ" Jones, a fourth-generation San Franciscan

hailing from the Lakeview/OMI neighborhood, embodies the working-class values instilled by his family. Raised by a mother in the SF Unified School District and a father at SF MUNI, EJ learned the importance of education, community, and hard work firsthand. Throughout his career, EJ has championed youth and families, serving in City Hall and fostering coalitions across neighborhoods. As board president of I.T. Bookman Community Center and a founding member of The City Eats, he developed sustainable programs to meet community needs. With a deep love for San Francisco and a commitment to neighborly care, EJ is determined to tackle the city's challenges head-on. This internship position would allow you to build your political network, participate in civic engagement, receive direct experience with San Francisco politics, and familiarize yourself with campaign strategies.


The internship will begin September 9th and conclude November 5th.

Responsibilities

1) Voter education - Engage with voters about local issues at their doorstep

2) Volunteer recruitment and outreach - Collaborate with volunteers and local community

organizations on voter outreach

3) Database maintenance - Update NationBuilder (supporter and donor database) and PDI

(voter database)

4) Social Media - Create graphics through Canva, tiktok videos, and post to socials

5) Office support - File and organization


Applicants Will Gain:

● Insight into local politics

● Proficiency in Google Suite

● Data entry skills

● An ability to engage with volunteers and voters

● Canvassing or sales experience

● An optimistic attitude!
