We are writing to you because of your support for youth leadership development. Our transformative youth leadership program for young people 15-18 -- the 2025 Encampment -- will be held July 1-22 in Thousand Oaks, California this year. Below find a brief description and flier link. You can help us by spreading the word to your network and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
Thank you!
Marion Silverbear for the Encampment
Brief Program Description: Through hands-on experiences, community building, field trips and engaging workshops, we will prepare young leaders like you to fight back, create change, and build a future rooted in justice and inclusion. The Encampment challenges you to grow as a leader, activist, and community member. We’ll explore fundamental questions about how to resist oppression while staying true to our values, how to confront injustice nonviolently, and how to create a healthy culture of sustainable organizing. You’ll learn: how to communicate across differences; understand power and recognize propaganda; defend your rights and those of others; build solidarity with peers across the country.
