Street Life Working Group
The Street Life Working Group was established in 2012 to propose and advocate for streetscape improvements and to enliven the corridor. If you would be interested in advocating for improvements on the Avenue including beautification projects, please send an email with your name/address/phone to Rosendo at rosendob@oaacbd.org.
Neighborhood Adopt-A-Street Team
OAA is working with 3 Adopt-A-Street Teams. We're looking for community members to join our Ocean Avenue Association Street Committee. In this program, individuals or groups agree to adopt an area and take responsibility for keeping the street, sidewalk, and storm drain clean. All necessary cleaning materials are provided to assure the smoothest and best volunteer experience. You can become responsible for an area adjacent to Ocean Avenue, build your team of neighbors, and keep your block clean. We'll provide you with the tools. Together, we can keep our neighborhoods clean and more enjoyable for all. To sign up, email your name/address/phone to rosendob@oaacbd.org. The Adopt-A-Street Program is a partnership between the City and its residents. Handymen With repeated break-ins in our small businesses, the Ocean Avenue Association is looking for handymen available to process quick repairs when a window is broken, when a lock needs repair, etc. This would be for easy temporary fixes so the affected businesses can continue operating. Let's help our small businesses survive this pandemic of break-ins! Wanting to help? Just email your name/phone to rosendob@oaacbd.org.
