World Affairs Education Program


This spring, the World Affairs Education Program brings students exciting opportunities to connect with globally-minded professionals while gaining valuable career training experience through direct action on urgent issues like climate change.


Students are invited to meet and engage with journalist and author Ray Suarez!

Acclaimed journalist, author and public speaker Ray Suarez hosts "On Shifting Ground with Ray Suarez," a co-production of World Affairs and KQED-FM. He also covers Washington, DC for the English-language all-news network Euronews. In his long and distinguished career, Ray has also hosted NPR's "Talk of the Nation," Al Jazeera America's daily news program "Inside Story;" and been Chief National Correspondent for PBS NewsHour. His most recent book, "We Are Home," features intimate interviews with immigrants from a wide range of origins, eras and experiences that trace the emerging demographics of the US in the 21st century."

When: Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM PT, followed by a live public program from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM PT Where: World Affairs’ headquarters in downtown San Francisco conveniently located between the Montgomery and Powell BART stations: 312 Sutter St., Second Floor, San Francisco, CA 94108 Limited capacity of 25-30 students; first come, first served.
