Youth YOU-nity is a pop-up showcasing the art of young artists in the Bay Area! At Youth YOU-nity, you will have the chance to enjoy the talent of creative youth, purchase some of the artists' work, learn about accessible artistic resources, and connect with a community of creative youth in the Bay. There will also be music performances, artistic spaces to create your own art, and a raffle with lots of prizes.
Our pop-up hopes to offer youth creators an environment to express their artistic ambitions that are often disregarded. Youth, in general, often do not have a platform to showcase their talents and special abilities, especially non-performative talents that require lots of time to hone their skills. Youth YOU-nity aims to make youth of color in the Bay Area feel empowered to pursue their dreams and aspirations that relate to art and have their voices heard by hosting a space, free of charge, for them to sell their art, and by offering mini-grants for any artists who might need financial assistance.
This event will be at the I-Hotel in San Francisco on Nov. 23, 2019, from 12 to 5pm.
